OUR UNIFORM

BALLET

Mini Ballet: any ballet attire e.g. leotard and skirt, tutu, ballet dress with skirt. Full sole leather ballet shoes. Ballet socks or tights

Primary & Grade 1: Aqua leotard with skirt attached. Full sole leather ballet shoes. Ballet socks or tights.

Grade 2/Grade 3: Cornflower leotard (no skirt). Full sole leather ballet shoes. Ballet tights.

Grade 4+: Any style of black leotard for class, leather ballet shoes (split-sole are allowed). Ballet tights.

Students are required to wear a leotard with ballet socks or tights. Students should not be dancing in a leotard with shorts over the top.

Boys or as an alternative: Black cotton shorts, black leggings, white t-shirt, white or black socks, black ballet shoes.

NOTE: Students in Grade 4+ will need a plain black, thin strapped leotard for an exam, and ribbons will be required (from Grade 2) on their shoes.

Pointe Shoes: Students must have permission from their teacher to purchase and wear pointe shoes. This is for safety reasons.

TAP

Primary/Grade 1/Grade 2/Grade 3: Turquoise leotard. Footless black tights. PU black Tap shoes. (Grade 3 can have full sole leather tap shoes)

Grade 4+: Any style/coloured leotard (no bling or sparkles). Black footless tights. Full sole leather Tap shoes.

Boys or as an alternative: Black cotton shorts, leggings or sports trousers, white t-shirt, white or black socks, black tap shoes.

NOTE: Students in Grade 5 will need a plain black, non-ruched leotard for an exam

MODERN

Mini Modern/Primary Modern: HSD T-Shirt, shorts or leggings, bare feet

Grade 1/Grade 2/Grade 3: Turquoise leotard. Footless black tights. Bare feet (split sole jazz shoes are not needed for exams but can be worn in class)

Grade 4+: Any style/colour leotard (no bling or sparkles). Footless black tights. Bare feet (foot thongs are allowed)

Boys or as an alternative: Black cotton shorts, leggings or sports trousers, white t-shirt, white or black socks, black tap shoes.

NOTE: Students in Grade 5 will need a plain black, non-ruched leotard for an exam

OTHER CLASSES - Theatre Jazz/Jazz Technique/Strength & Stretch/Lyrical/Contemporary

Any leotard with black legging, black footless tights, or black hotpants

Any dance crop top and black leggings, footless black tights, or black hotpants

Street Classes

HSD T-Shirt, any dance attire that is safe to dance in e.g. leggings, joggers dance shorts, crop top/sports top, t-shirt. No excessively baggy clothes.

Trainers to wear in class.

Adult Classes

Anything that is comfortable and that can be danced in. Suitable shoes for the dance style are needed
