We are Hitchin's longest established dance school
Hitchin School of Dance (formerly The Granville School of Dance) was founded by our original Principal of the school, Mollie Gilbert.
In 2024, we celebrated 70 years of providing dance classes in Hitchin. We are proud to be Hitchin’s longest established dance school.
Gabrielle Hammond, a former pupil of Mollie, became Principal in 2020 and wanted to continue the ethos and passion Mollie had for dancing.
HSD moved into their own studios two minutes walk from Hitchin town centre in March 2025.
